Snowball melts away and goes missing

-

A worried cat owner has issued a plea to help find her missing pet - again.

Snowball the cat has disappeared for the second time this year, much to dismay of owner Maureen Goodwin.

When the nine- year- old pussy went missing in January, Ayrshire Post readers clubbed together and helped find Snowball.

She ended up in Mauchline - 12 miles from where Maureen stays.

Maureen, of Ayr, is reaching out to Ayrshire residents to keep an eye out for her fluffy friend who was last seen on Thursday, July 20.

The feline - who never wears a collar - melted away from Westwood Avenue, Dalmilling.

She said: “Everyone done so well finding Snowball last time, I just hope we are as lucky this time.

“Snowball would stay in all day but go out at night - so I would let her out at 10pm and she would be waiting on the step for my husband finishing work at 4am.

“But on Friday morning she was no where to be seen.”

Maureen revealed that the cat has been micro- chipped and worries she may be locked in a shed or outbuilding.

She added: “Snowball is white in colour but she is always very dirty looking - the lump on her tail is a distinguishing feature.

“Last time she went missing a woman from Mauchline contacted me through Facebook after she found the cat and saw the missing appeal in the Ayrshire Post.”
