‘ Lazy bitch’ remark led to court
A DJ threw his girlfriend’s clothes out of the house after she left the door open.
Raging Richard Pryde, 29, called his partner Claire Foster a “lazy bitch” and used other nasty language, Ayr Sheriff Court heard last week. The Batman fan who spins the decks at Soundmagic Studio, Ayr, acted in an abusive and threatening manner at Birch Way, Troon on July 12.
Ms Foster returned from the shop when she heard Pryde make a foul comment about the door being left open at 11.50am.
Depute fiscal Jacob Tomnay said: “She said she left the door open because of the heat. The accused shouted, swore and called her a lazy bitch.”
An argument erupted between them, which resulted in Mr Pryde swearing and stating it was his house.
Ms Foster fled outside with her children.
Mr Pryde then hurled a bag of clothes out of the house and it hit her accidentally on the chest.
The victim contacted the police who traced Pryde.
Pryde, now of Donald Crescent, Troon, appeared in the dock wearing a batman T- shirt.
He admitted shouting, swearing, behaving in an aggressive manner and throwing a bag of clothes striking his partner.
On sentencing Pryde to 12 months’ supervision, Sheriff Carole Cunninghame described his behaviour as appalling.
