More than 100 local businesses s found out exactly what it takes to launch and grow a successfull company when they attended the first event of this year’s Ayrshire Business Week.
The launch event, hosted by Business Gateway, aimed to provide local business owners with a one- stop shop for keeping their firms on track.
Gavin Oattes of The Tree of Knowledge, Carol Brown of Cazbro and Colin Lamb of Connect Three Solutions were the headlining acts at The Business Fairground.
Attendees also heard from Anthony Cecchini of Cecchinis, Steven Rawding of VG Energy and Cameron Singleton of Listen Up.
The event, which was aimed at anyone thinking of starting, running or growing their own business, kicked off jam- packed Business Week, with workshops and seminars taking place in locations throughout the region.
The week- long programme, which is coordinated by the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce, is now in its ninth year and culminates with the annual awards dinner at Ayr Racecourse on Friday.
The area’s top young apprentices take the spotlight on Thursday morning at the Modern Apprenticeship Challenge regional final at The Gailes Hotel before a special event with Scottish Chambers of Commerce exploring the opportunity to trade with China.
Chamber chief executive Val Russell said: “Business Gateway have long been supporters of Ayrshire Business Week and provide an informative and inspiring start to the week with the launch event.
