Auchinleck are off to a double flier Success for seniors and ladies against Auchinleck and Paisley

Sunday also sees the SIBA National Senior playdowns with Les Fowler away to Inverclyde at 10am. David Mitchell and Jim McCracken will play in the senior pairs against East Kilbride at 10am.

Eddie Duncan, David Weir and David Jagodowski will play in the senior triples against Lanarkshir­e at 10am.

Prestwick seniors opened with a 66- 54 defeat at home to Glasgow. They look to bounce back on Saturday away to Blantyre.

The ladies kicked off their campaign with a 81- 70 home win against Ardrossan and now entertain Lanarkshir­e.

The Gents start their league on Saturday with an away game against Allander.

Paul Foster is still on course to defend his SIBA National Singles title after winning through to the semi finals after wins against Teviotdale 21- 5, Abbeyview 21- 14 and Garioch 21- 5 at Perth.

Paul now takes on Stewart Anderson in the semi finals at Blantyre in January.

In the SIBA Ladies masters at Perth on Sunday, Rebecca Houston beat Kim Watt before losing to Mhairi Buchanan.

Sunday sees the senior singles, pairs and triples qualifiers at Inverclyde and Ayr. Ian Ferguson goes in the singles at Inverclyde. George Smith and Stan Gibson line up in the pairs at Inverclyde also.

George Little, Alex Thomson and John Lindsay travel to Ayr to take their place in the triples.

Ayr gents open their Division One campaign on Saturday with a trip to Inverclyde.

Ayr’s Paul Shields hit back from 9- 15 down against Berwickshi­re’s Graeme Forsyth in the Scottish singles playdowns to win 21- 19.

But he then lost 21- 13 to Stephen Scott ( Cowal).

The ladies lost 96- 61 away to Lanarkshir­e and now host Inverclyde.
