Drink drive OAP, 73
A 73- year- old woman drove a Nissan Qashquai while more than three times over the limit. Victoria Dalrymple, of Middlemuir Farm, Tarbolton, admitted drink driving when she appeared in the dock at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday. She was caught behind the wheels on the B730 near Middlemuir Cemetery on October 3. A beathalyser reading revealed she had 77 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 22. Lawyer Shona Gallagher told the court Dalrymple had a problem with alcohol. The court hear there was a previous analgous offence.
Sheriff Mhairi MacTaggart deferred sentencing for the preparation of reports until next month.
Dalrymple has been disqualified from driving as she awaits her next appearance in the dock.
