RSGS go travelling
Another travellers’ talk heads to Ayr Town Hall next week.
The talk, hosted by the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, will feature Corinne Barr talking about her travels to St Petersburg in Russia on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
And she will be followed by Liz Rhodes talking about her travels in Newfoundland in Eastern Canada.
Both talks will be fully illustrated, and entry is open to all. Tickets cost £ 2.50 to members of the RSGS and OiR, free to under 18s and students, while nonmembers pay £ 4.
Another talk presented by RSGS heads to Kyle Academy in Ayr on Wednesday, November 22 for an inspiring people talk from Leon McCarron.
He will talk about wild hiking trails in the Holy Land, starting from Jerusalem, where he will discuss spectacular landscapes as well as the history, culture and religion that have shaped people’s lives in the area.
Entry is free to RSGS members, students and under- 18’ s, while tickets for non- members cost £ 10. The talk begins at 7.30pm.
