Pipe organ concerts
Four fine organists are to play the Lewis pipe organ in Ayr Town Hall on Mondays throughout November at noon, with admission £ 3.
Gordon Cree from Darvel will play on November 6, John Turner from Glasgow on 13; Simon Nieminski from Edinburgh on 20 and Iain McGlinchey from Helensburgh on 27.
These concerts are arranged by volunteers from Fort Seafield and Wallacetoun Community Council to show off the fine instrument and bring to a close the 2017 season of 35 Monday lunchtime concerts.

Monday, November 20: Simon Nieminski, director of music and organist at St Mary’s Metropolitan Cathedral, Edinburgh and director of music at the Robin Chapel, Edinburgh, will play the fine Lewis pipe organ in Ayr Town Hall at noon, admission £ 3, as part of a series of 35 lunchtime concerts arranged by volunteers from Fort, Seafield and Wallacetoun Community Council, April to November for visitors and locals.
Monday, November 27: Iain McGlinchey, from Helensburgh, will play the fine Lewis pipe organ in Ayr Town Hall at 12 noon, admission £ 3, as part of a series of 35 lunchtime concerts arranged by volunteers from Fort, Seafield and Wallacetoun Community Council, April to November for visitors and locals. As president of the Scottish Cinema Organ Trust, Iain is sure to end the 2017 season with a cheerful and tuneful selection of music.
