Have an ice time
Dozens took the chance to brush up on their curling when Ayr Ice Rink threw open its doors.
People who have never before tried the popular game seized the chance for a taster.
The family fun day included a craft fair, beer festival, home baking, afternoon cream tea, raffle and more.
There were also competitions with money raised to support Cash for Kids.
More sessions follow on Wednesday, November 8, Wednesday, November 22 and Sunday, December 3.
Organisers are particularly eager to welcome visitors in wheelchairs and stress that is no barrier to playing the sport.
