Richard Wiggins spoke on ‘ A Close Shave’ – literally with a witty discourse on various aspects of facial hair and how fashions change.

Jim McCreadie’s chosen subject was ‘ Passchendaele’ and the history surrounding it.

He covered the various countries involved and how they all suffered horrific loss of life.

From the many names of famous generals and politicians to the local Ayrshire connections, this proved a thoroughly interesting talk.
