Carrick residents plan their futures

Members of Maybole and North Carrick Villages Locality Planning Group started their awareness raising sessions last week.

The group plans to deliver four community awareness raising sessions for those who live, work, study or volunteer across North Carrick and the first was held in Maybole Town Hall on Monday, October 30.

The group is part of the Health and Social Care Partnership and they will work with local people to improve health, support social care, tackle health inequality, and improve community wellbeing and will work in partnership with local communities to offer services that are easily understood, accessible, wellcoordinated, safe and person centred.

After the presentations, there was a buffet and music from Girvan Friendship Group.

Members of the public then had the opportunity to talk individually to those who had spoken earlier and learn about what was available locally.
