Car­rick res­i­dents plan their fu­tures

Mem­bers of May­bole and North Car­rick Vil­lages Lo­cal­ity Plan­ning Group started their aware­ness rais­ing ses­sions last week.

The group plans to de­liver four com­mu­nity aware­ness rais­ing ses­sions for those who live, work, study or vol­un­teer across North Car­rick and the first was held in May­bole Town Hall on Mon­day, Oc­to­ber 30.

The group is part of the Health and So­cial Care Part­ner­ship and they will work with lo­cal peo­ple to im­prove health, sup­port so­cial care, tackle health in­equal­ity, and im­prove com­mu­nity well­be­ing and will work in part­ner­ship with lo­cal com­mu­ni­ties to of­fer ser­vices that are eas­ily un­der­stood, ac­ces­si­ble, well­co­or­di­nated, safe and per­son cen­tred.

After the pre­sen­ta­tions, there was a buf­fet and mu­sic from Gir­van Friend­ship Group.

Mem­bers of the pub­lic then had the op­por­tu­nity to talk in­di­vid­u­ally to those who had spo­ken ear­lier and learn about what was avail­able lo­cally.
