Victory for football side

-

It was a comfortable win for Auchinleck Academy’s football starlets on their travels to Stewarton.

Auchinleck were on top from the first whistle, forcing Stewarton onto the back foot with tenacious tackling, strong running and slick passing moves.

And the team’s first half dominance paid off with two wonderful goals, one from Kaylum Ferguson the other from Andrew Neil.

In the second half, despite being forced to make changes, Auchinleck continued in the same vein and the game was over as a contest when Kaylum grabbed his second to make the lead an unassailable 3- 0.

Despite carrying knocks, Auchinleck pushed hard and continued to create chances with Jake Griffin sealing the fourth as he chased down a lost cause, causing the Stewarton keeper to rush his clearance which Jake deflected into the net.

Man of the match was a difficult choice - but left back Jordan Beck, in his first game with the senior team, took the award by the smallest of margins after reading the game well, never missing a tackle and clever distribution which created a number of good chances.
