Look out for Santa, his sleigh and wild elves from this Sunday, December 3, when Loans and Donald Camp are the target of Troon Round Table. Their nightly runs continue until December 20. Give generously and don’t hide behind the couch.

Troon Ladies Luncheon Club will hold its Christmas Lunch in the Piersland House Hotel on December 6 at 12.30pm. Contact Sheila Webster 314924 to book.

Troon Library – Cup Cakes Decoration – A baking event for children 5yrs to 12yrs will be held in Troon Library on Saturday, December 2 from 10am until 11am. Make two freshly baked cup cakes, one to eat and one to take home in a gift box.

The event is limited to 12 places which must be booked .

St Meddan’s Special Projects present Sleeping Beauty, a family Panto in the Church Hall from Tuesday, December 5 to Saturday, December 9. Starting at 7.15pm with doors open at 6.45pm. Tickets, adults £ 7, concession­s £ 6 in aid of Church Fabric Fund.

Troon Chorus are giving a Christmas Concert in Portland Church on Saturday, December 16 from 7.30pm. Doors open 7pm.

The concert will include works by Haydn and Mendelssoh­n with different arrangemen­ts of several well known carols.

Guest soloists will feature in the programme. Help for Heroes – a Charity helping our War wounded servicemen and women – will receive a donation from the money raised by the concert.

Tickets are priced £ 8 and £ 4 for youngsters under 18. These are available from Words & Music and members of the Chorus and on sale at the door on the evening of the concert.

Seasonal Silliness with Gary, Kevin and Bonzo ( formerly the Singing Kettle) are appearing in Santa’s Funtastic Factory in Troon Town Hall on Sunday, December 10 and Monday, December 11. Tickets are priced £ 13 or a Family Saver at £ 48. Contact the Gaiety on 288 235.

Barassie P6+ Youth Club is held on Monday nights from 6pm to 7.30pm in Barassie Primary. Come along, chill out, enjoy games and sports.

There is also a Youth Club held in Muirhead Primary for P6+ every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7.30pm.

The Rummikub Group meet in Troon Library every Wednesday from 12.45pm to 2.45pm. Rummikub is a tile- based game for two to four players combining elements of the card game Rummy and Mahjong.

A Public Road Show staffed by South Ayrshire Council will be held in Troon Town Hall on Thursday, November 30 from 1pm to 3.30pm. This meeting is to give the people of Troon an opportunit­y to discuss the proposed Housing developmen­t in the fields from Loans to Muirhead.
