Charge over cat death

A man has been arrested after his dog killed a cat in Ayr.

The hound attacked the puss in Bluebell Grove, Dalmillling. It is alleged the owner was out walking a number of dogs when one of them went for the cat at 4pm on Jaunary 2.

A 29- year- old man was charged with being the owner of a dog, which was dangerously out of control.

He is due to appear in court at a later date.
