Group aim to inspire at meeting

Would you like some inspiratio­n to help fuel that ‘ the world is my oyster’ voice in your head?

The Royal S c o t t i s h Geographic­al Society ( RSGS) could be the answer.

The group holds its first Travellers Club talk of 2018 on Wednesday January 17, in the Council Chambers, Ayr Town Hall at 7.30pm.

We l l t rave l l e d a n d entertaini­ng speaker, Ian Geddes will be describing his recent visit to Myanmar, Burma.

Fully illustrate­d with his own photograph­s, he will discuss the towns, temples and villages which he visited on his way towards the city of Mandalay.

Entry is £ 2.50 to members of RSGS and OIR, free to under 18’ s and £ 4 to non- members.

Later in the month, the group will continue their series of Inspiring People with a talk from young adventurer Charlie Walker.

Charlie will be speaking on “Following the Line- an eight month Eurasian Triathlon.”

His talk will take place on Wednesday January 31.
