Travel manager Lorna scoops top prize again

-

A hard- working woman has been recognised for her efforts - for the second time,

Lorna McColm, Branch Manager of Girvan’s Thomas Cook, scooped the Manager of the Year Award, after picking up the same prize in 2015.

The award is handed out based on performance for the year, contribution to the company and customer satisfaction reports.

And Lorna, who has worked in travel for 36 years, was delighted to win the award.

She said: “I would like to thank all our customers for your loyalty.

“I know it is very easy to book your holiday online these days, but customers still like the face- to- face service.

“Your holiday will be fully protected and we will look after you throughout your booking journey.

“Along with my role as manager I also work as Cruise Champ for my region ( 35 stores) communicating key messages and assisting stores to achieve their targets.

“I have cruised on several occasions and can confidently recommend ships and destinations to suit my customers.

“I work alongside four travel sales consultants - Paris Mooney ( trainee), Corrie Fyfe, Nichola Haywood and Alison Baird.

“Alison and Nichola have worked the longest with me and deliver high levels of customer service.”
