And the thriving Ayr High Street store signed off another big year with a charity donation.

The shop raised £ 1000 from the five pence tax levied on bags by the government.

And the charity of choice to benefit from the 2017 haul was CLIC Sargent.

This year’s chosen charity will be the Ayrshire Hospice.

Slaters managing director, Paul Slater, and branch boss, Jack Blades, handed over the cheque to CLIC’s Jill Robinson and Rachael Mclean, right.
