Craigmark seeing red

-

Five saw red in a stormy clash at Dalmellington as leaders Craigmark suffered only their second league defeat.

Craigmark’s Willie Hall and Stephen McKay were dismissed along with Winton’s Alan Muir in an ugly flare- up with 18 minutes to go.

The home side’s Jo Maxwell was shown a second yellow then a red as the teams walked off at full time.

Craigmark coach Greg Gallagher was also sent off 10 minutes from the end as temperatures rose.

It was a tough day for the referee who, with no assistants, struggled to keep control.

Jamie McKenna ( penalty) and Jordan Carnie had Winton 2- 0 up after 20 minutes.

Ryan McKay pulled one back with a penalty before the break but McKenna sealed it with own second in the 70th minute.

A day to forget for Craigmark whose indiscipline cost them dearly.
