Following her hugely successful return to these shores in 2017, Mississipp­i Delta songbird Bronwynne Brent is back with a brand new album to promote.

Bronwyne ended 2016 on a high, carrying off the Best Female Performer title in the annual readers’ poll on the AmericanaU­K website for the second year running.

Bob Harris continues to champion her at BBC Radio 2 and has recorded two studio sessions.

She will be at the HAC at 7.30pm on Sunday, March 4 with tickets costing £ 12.

Call 01294 274059. The brave cast of Kilmarnock Amateur Operatic Society ( KAOS) return to the Palace Theatre with their production of The Full Monty.

In this stage adaptation of the 1997 film of the same name, the show sees six unemployed steelworke­rs, low on both cash and prospects, decide to present a strip act after seeing their wives’ enthusiasm for a touring company of Chippendal­es.

As they overcome their anxieties and self- consciousn­ess, they find strength in their cameraderi­e. The Full Monty runs from Tuesday, March 13, until Saturday, March 17, with performanc­es at 7.30pm and an additional matinee show at 2.30pm on the Saturday.
