Marr are set for a final day cliffhanger

-

Marr Rugby will go flat out for the win that could save their BT Premiership skins.

A bonus point win at home to Stirling County in the final league game on Saturday could be enough to lift Marr to safety depending on results elsewhere.

Defeat and Marr are doomed after only one season in the top flight. But such is the complex foot of the table, all permutations are possible.

Five points before a bumper Fullarton crowd and Marr could leap into a relegation play- off or even into third bottom if other results go their way.

Boroughmuir lead Marr by four points and finish away to Glasgow Hawks and at home to Heriot’s six days later.

Such is their vastly superior points differential that they need only point from two games to stay above Marr.

Eighth placed Hawick close at home to Melrose but how the champions approach this game will be crucial.

If Melrose, who have lost only two games on their charge to the title, take their eye off the ball it could allow their Border rivals to get the win to pull clear of the drop zone.

A bonus Marr win will leave Hawick needing just one point to guarantee they won’t finish rock bottom.

It all adds up to a Super Saturday.

CARRICK can cement their title bid in BT West Division One when they entertain Allan Glen’s on Saturday.

Carrick lead the visitors by two points but with a game more played.
