Two men and a woman turned up at the man’s address on Monday night after claims he had sent indecent messages to the decoys.

In the video a member of the group is heard saying to him: “Man these chats are disgusting, Do you think what this could do to a child.?”

Reading out some of the alleged messages in the video, a woman said: “She is 12- yearsold. Don’t you realise the mental damage you could do to a child. You could have destroyed a child’s mind.”

He replied: “I don’t know what was going through my head. I’m messed up in my head.”

Later on during the conversation, the woman said: “We do this because we are parents. We do this to protect future generations.”

Another member of the group added: “Why continue a chat with a minor? Do you understand the severity of what you have done?”

It was alleged he fired off a message on an App asking the supposed child if she was wearing underwear along with other inappropriate remarks.

He was asked: “Would you consider yourself a paedophile”?

He replied: “Yes.”

The man is seen hanging his head while sitting on a step and staring at his phone during the tense standoff.

The video went viral with more than 14,000 views.

It was turned off when the police arrived.

A 21- year- old man appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week charged with communicating indecently with a young child.

He made no plea and is due to appear again at a later date.
