Special donation from Harley in memory of mum

-

Neonatal staff have received a touching donation from a tiny tot.

Little Harley Sinclair visited the neonatal unit at University Hospital Crosshouse recently with his dad Gary and grandparents, Jim and Jeanette Little.

He was delivering a heart warming donation of over £ 2000.

Harley stayed in the neonatal unit with his mum, Donna Little, after being transferred from the Golden Jubilee in 2015 when he arrived 12 weeks early.

Donna passed away peacefully at the Golden Jubilee Hospital on Thursday, January 11 this year.

In her memory the family collected donations at her funeral, raising the considerable sum of £ 2012.39.

Dad Gary said: “We were so grateful to the staff at the neonatal unit for the care Harley received and wanted to do something to show how much we appreciate everything they do.

“It’s comforting to know that the money will be used for something that will make things easier for families who come to stay in the unit.

“We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to all of our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for their support, wishes and donations.”

Hazel Freireich, Sister at the Neonatal Unit, said: “We are extremely grateful to Gary, Jim and Jeanette, and all of the people who contributed to the donation.

“We will make sure that it will be used for something that will honour the loving memory of Donna
