Bowlers in finals action

Thursday night sees the curtain come down on yet another successful season at the Prestwick Indoor Bowling Club on Bellevue Road club with four finals on show with a 6.30pm start.

In the Ladies Singles final Rebecca Houston will be looking to make it three in a row as she takes on fellow Junior Internationalist Dawn Anderson.

There will be a new name on the Senior Singles Trophy as George Smith and Alex Thomson battle it out for the title.

The Gents Under 25 Singles will be between two of the club’s most talented youngsters in Jordan Slaven and Darren Weir.

The Under 15s Singles will complete the finals night line up with Ross Gouldstone taking on Jamie Noon.

All trophies will be presented after the completion of the finals on Thursday night.

Paul Foster could only claim Silver in the Gents Pairs at the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast Australia.

Paul and partner Alex Marshall were beaten 12- 10 by the Welsh pair of Dan Salmon and Marc Wyatt in the Gold Medal match at Broadbeach.

This week the pair will be looking to go one better when they team up with Ronnie Duncan and Derek Oliver in the fours event.

• With the season drawing to a close the Stadium will move into its Summer Hours starting from Monday 16th April, the stadium will be open from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday with bowling only available on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Stadium will close the month of July as it has done in previous years.
