The 31- year- old had visited her grandfather Peter Bayston’s home and asked for some money but had been refused.

Ayr Sheriff Court heard McKean then told him there was a leak in his washing machine and that he should come see.

Callous McKean helped him to his feet and when he began walking, she legged it out of the home on Maybole Road in Kirkmichael with his wallet in hand.

The court heard McKean breached her bail conditions and hindered police officers in the execution of their duty and did struggle with them on February 20 2018.

And McKean pled guilty of bieng in Crosne Street Sheltered Housing Unit without lawful authority amd was there to commit theft.

McKean, of Wood Street, Dailly, pled guilty to the above charges and stealing a wallet and contents from her grandfather Peter Bayston and using a stolen bank card and PIN to steal £ 200.
