On the T for a cash investment

-

A £ 750,000 investment has been unveiled by one of Ayrshire’s top hospitality chains. The T- Bar is a new bar and music venue operating in the Buzzworks portfolio, next door to the existing Tree House on Ayr’s Sandgate. Bosses said the new venue took their spending within Ayr to three quarters of a million pounds over the past six months. The Tree House and new T- bar are to operate with their own unique identities, Buzzworks said. New office space for the town centre is also being developed above the premises. Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings managing director, said the latest investment was to be welcomed. He said: “The hospitality industry is constantly evolving and we saw an opportunity to create a cool and modern pub with a twist, which would both suit the local market and sit alongside our excellent restaurant offering at the Tree House. “Although connected to the Tree House, we are keen for the T- Bar to be recognised in its own right and look forward to welcoming both Buzzworks regulars and new visitors to our latest venture.” The interior of the new T- Bar features a selection of upcycled materials – including the original pewter bar from Elliots in Prestwick. The new pub will also host a weekly schedule of entertainment, with a selection of live music performances and screenings of live sport events, in what marks a departure from the usual Buzzworks venue. A multi- purpose events space that can be booked for exclusive use will also be available for the public.
