A total of 25 people from Ayrshire have become millionaires thanks to the National Lottery.

New figures show that the lucky 25 are among 230 from the area who have banked a big prize since the lottery began in 1994 from all lottery games.

Nationally more than 38,800 big winners of £50,000 or more since 1994.

Andy Carter, of the National Lottery said: “It is no surprise to me to see how lucky Ayrshire has been and

“I’m sure I’ll be back there soon with another giant cheque.”
