Volunteers praised

A Tory MSP has piled the praise on those who give up their time for others.

Brian Whittle used a debate in Holyrood on Volunteers Week to highlight some of the good work being done by volunteers in Ayrshire.

He highlighted the work of the RNLI, whose Girvan Station he visited last year.

Among those in line for praise were Doon Valley Boxing Club,and the South Ayrshire Tigers Powerchair

The army of volunteers who have been helping to ready Whiteley’s Retreat for families received a special mention by the South of Scotland MSP.
