Top teen Sean lands Tammy
Youngster beats clubmate Aidan in final
A teenager has been crowned Tammy champion following the latest instalment of the prestigious Ayr Golf Week.
Sixteen-year-old Sean Addie (Belleisle) beat clubmate Aidan Long 4&3 in the final of the marquee competition.
It followed a tough week of competition in the Ayrshire sun, which drew around 600 players from across the UK to the showcase event.
There were 13 competitions across the week, including the highlight Tam o’ Shanter and Handyside Tournament with £5,000 prize money for the week-long event, alongside the new Robert Burns Trophy, Junior Open, and the Junior Stableford.
Another teen celebrating success was John Kelly in the Handyside.
Prestwick St Cuthbert’s Jennifer Hill clinched the top women’s event, the RC Brown.

Handicap Category 25-36: Alexander Curran (Troon St Welbeck) beat Connor McMillan (Belleisle) with 37 points.
