Talbot fall in semi

-

Talbot looked to get over their Super Premier heartbreak by reaching the West of Scotland Cup final.

But for the second year in a row they lost 1-0 at the semi-final stage on Monday night, this time with Hurlford getting their revenge for‘Bot’s late win in the Junior Cup final.

Former Ayr United midfielder Darren Henderson’s Hurlford side were struggling to field a team as they only had 10 players available just the night before.

But his side turned out and reliable veteran Stewart Kean was the difference between the sides.

The former Honest Man latched on to the ball after some nice build up play from the home side and lobbed a helpless Andy Leishman, setting up a final with Beith at Meadow Park tonight (Wednesday) at 7.30pm.
