Thought for the week..

Would you like to go to church but think you might not be made welcome? Is it so long since you were there that you feel uncomfortable about going back? There’s no need to feel like that. Church doors are open for everyone to go in. And God, who is the head of the church, has a welcome for you.

Read the Bible verses that follow over and over again, as you would read an invitation sent to you by a king. For that is what it is. This is your invitation from God, the King of Kings, to join him for ever in his kingdom of heaven.

‘“I Jesus, … am the Root and Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!”And let him who hears say ,“Come .” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.’
