Sun shines on gala parade
On a day of fantastic sunshine, Maybole Pipe Band led the town’s gala parade from Carrick Academy to Glebe Park.
Invited guests were the Marquess and Marchioness of Ailsa, Provost Helen Moonie, Depute Provost William Grant, Bill Grant MP, Cllr Brian Connolly and Cllr Ian Campbell.
The retiring King and Queen, Liam Grant and Abi Baillie, handed over their crowns to the Marquess and Marchioness for the coronation of the new King and Queen: Alexander Browne and Anna Cochrane, of St Cuthbert’s Primary School.
