-

a drunk racegoer banged on cupboards and hurled shoes and stones - causing his girlfriend to flee to her car.

Cameron grant, 24, kicked off when he turned up at Kirsty McLatchie’s address on april 20 following a boozed up session at ayr races.

He began shouting and swearing at her calling her a balloon and idiot on april 20 at Connel View in New Cumnock.

He struck the doors and cupboards in the house causing damage.

His poor victim ran outside and took refuge in her car.

raging grant, of ardnith avenue in the town, charged towards the vehicle and began punching the car windows.

He also threw shoes and pebbles at the car, ayr sheriff Court heard last week.

Depute fiscal Jason Bell said: “police were contacted. they attended and found the complainer in her car crying and distressed.”

Lawyer Ian gillies said: “He accepts fully this behaviour was completely unacceptable and can’t be condoned in any way.”

the solicitor added: “Mr grant can’t believe he acted in the way he did and has a lot of ground to make up.”

He admitted behaving in an aggressive manner towards his girlfriend, shouting swearing, making abusive remarks punching car windows, throwing items and striking doors and cupboards.

grant has paid £ 50 to fix the damage caused. sheriff Desmond Leslie placed him on a structured deferred sentence.
