Fatherson are Making Waves

Fatherson are the epitome of “hardwork earns success”.

The three- piece band of Ross, Marc and Greg from Kilmarnock are becoming huge off the back of their two successful albums - and they’re getting set to release their third.

Last week they released their new single called Making Waves, which will feature on their third album - Sum of All Your Parts, which will be released on September 14.

And Fatherson even appeared on BBC Radio 1 last week when they were featured on Annie Mac’s 7pm show on Thursday.

They will play a midnight gig at King Tut’s in Glasgow this Saturday, before they hit the stage at top Scottish festival TRNSMT on Sunday.

Ross Leighton, who fronts the vocals for the group, said: “I can’t wait for this weekend.

“We haven’t done a midnight gig in Glasgow, and it will be interestin­g to see how it goes and what kind of crowd turn out.

“We have been working so hard on the album and have finished it probably ahead of schedule.

“We were expecting to still be working on it now, so it’s good we can now kind of focus on festival season.

“The new album has had great reviews from those who have heard it, and we really like it so I’m sure the fans will too.”

The first album I Am An Island was released in 2014, with Open Book coming out last year.
