Meet the Rotakids

Rotary Club members of the future have shown their leadership skills in a new venture. Symington Rotakids is a venture between Symington Primary School and the Rotary Club of Prestwick. It is the only Rotakids group in South Ayrshire. A total of 12 children from P3- P7 have signed up after a whopping 65 applied for the spots. The team is Phoebe Davies, Grace Macpherson, David Inglis, Emma Brown, Ryan McKee, Callum Malcolmson, Evie Tougher, Brooke Edgar, Blake Reilly, Calum Kelly, Sophie Irvine and Cerys Bowie. Roseanne Smith, depute head teacher, said: “Rotakids is an exciting way for our young people to run important projects that will make a positive difference in our school, our community and our world. “I am so proud of them all.” R ichie Cameron, Prestwick Rotary President, added: “It is such a privilege to get a chance to work with such a great school and such a fantastic group of children. “Their hard work is an inspiration to us all.”
