Songs keep old language alive

-

Youngsters were keeping the old Celtic tongue alive at a special event last month. Seven primary schools from around South Ayrshire came together at the Carrick Centre in Maybole for a Gaelic showcase. The pupils from Colmonell, St Patrick’s, St John’s, Ballantrae, St Cuthberts, Sacred Heart and St Ninian’s EYC joined together to sing and perform Gaelic songs that they had been learning in class. Post photographer Euan McCall joined parents, friends and family for the noteworthy performance.
