The couple
DJ and music producer Mark Sherry, 43, from Prestwick married 34- year- old solicitor Karen Osborne from Symington. Karen’s mum is the former MP for Ayr Carrick & Cumnock, Sandra Osborne.
Their story
The couple found love on a chance meeting in the town one evening. “We knew of each other and met in Elliot’s in Prestwick when we were both out with friends,” said Karen. “We got talking and the rest is history!”
The wedding
The couple tied the knot on Saturday, June 9 at Dumfries House . Karen said: “The ceremony was in the beautiful ‘ tapestry room’ at Dumfries House and the reception was in the pavilion there. “The whole day was like being in a film or a fairy- tale. “The venue is absolutely stunning and the weather was amazing. “We didn’t stop smiling all day and our guests have all raved about how good Dumfries House is as a wedding venue.”
Attire
The Bride’s Dress and shoes were Badgley Mischka from Opus Couture, West Kilbride, with her hair piece from Lily Luna, Edinburgh. The kilts were from MacGregor & MacDuff in Prestwick.

Honeymoon
The pair jetted off to Ibiza to celebrate being newlyweds. Karen said: “We left on the Monday straight after the wedding. “We have been there lots before for Mark’s gigs over the years and we absolutely love it - but this time we wanted to explore the beautiful north of the island which we have never seen before. “It’s very peaceful and we needed to relax after all the wedding planning and coming back down from our wonderful day!”
