Hurricane is about to blow into town
Grappling fans are in for a treat next week as a host of wrestling stars will descend on Ayr.
Pro Wrestling Elite returns to the Citadel on Saturday, July 21 for the promotion’s seventh anniversary show - with a whole host of fan favourites heading through the ropes. Former WWE superstar The Hurricane will coming over from the States to bring his show to the town. The longest reigning WWE Cruiserweight Champion ( holding it for 385 days) and former World Tag Team Champion will be squaring off against Jackie Polo. A stacked card will include the likes of PWE Heavyweight champion ‘ The Prestigious One’ Joe Hendry, Elite rumble winner Kenny Williams, Wolfgang, Joe and Mark Coffey, the Kinky Party and many more. And Kenny Williams will finally get his title shot when he takes on Joe Hendry for the PWE Heavyweight Championship. Jordan Devlin will square off against Andy Wild and BT Gunn will battle with Chris Renfrew. Tag Team champions The Kinky Party - Jack Jester and Sha Samuels - are set to appear and could defend their titles. And PWE Promoter Adrian McCallum - AKA Lionheart - is set to get between the ropes. He is set to take on Khifie West, a client of RUDO, who has caused havoc at live events for almost a year - frequently turning up for unscheduled appearances. But he took it one step too far last time when he attacked Lionheart - and now they are set to square off in a grudge match. McCallum said: “It’s getting out of hand now. “If he wants an opportunity so bad, he has got one.” Speaking about the full event, McCallum said: “This is set to be a great night for everyone who’s coming along. “The shows are always full on thrills and spills, with action packed excitement from the first bell to the last. “It’s guaranteed to be a night of entertainment for all the family.” Limited tickets are still available for Pro Wrestling Elite at the Citadel on Saturday, July 21.
