Savour some California Dreaming at The Gaiety

A brand- new tribute show featuring a whole host of classic jukebox hits of a bygone era celebratin­g some of the most iconic singer- songwriter­s of the 20th century comes to town next week.

California Dreamers – The Sounds of Laurel Canyon takes audiences on a musical journey through the magical 60s and the psychedeli­c 70s, telling the true story of the small community in the foothills of Los Angeles that became home to some of the biggest selling artists of all time. Featuring hits from legends such as The Mamas and Papas, The Byrds, The Eagles, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Linda Rondstadt, Carole King, The Monkees, and many more, it promises to be an unforgetta­ble night of live music. The six- piece live band will perform all the greatest hits from these musical geniuses that changed the music of a generation, and who have collective­ly racked up more than 40 Grammy awards, countless number one hits and millions of album sales around the world. As well as featuring millionsel­ling hit songs, the show includes authentic archive film footage, presents real life stories of the events which rocked the world, and the relationsh­ips that inspired those who lived in the Canyon to write and produce the classic hits that defined a generation and still have people singing along today. Sing and dance the night away to Mr Tambourine Man, Love the One You’re With, It’s Too Late, Happy Together, I’m a Believer, Both Sides Now, Our House, Big Yellow Taxi, You’ve Got a Friend and, of course, California Dreamin’ plus a whole host of other world class songs.
