Blair Murdoch returned to Knockhill circuit to compete in the Scottish Fiesta Championship. Some record track surface temperatures of over 40 degrees required some changes to car setup. But during the morning qualification Blair set the fastest lap time. Arriving on the grid on pole at the start of race one, the championship held a grid walk allowing members of the public to see the cars up close and talk to the drivers. However, Blair’s start wasn’t ideal and he slotted into second. A move later in the lap for the lead proved unsuccessful dropping the 85 Fiesta to third, which was held to the chequered flag. Race two later also brought home third place, after some contact on the opening lap dropped Blair away from the leader, meaning any challenge for the win was off. The championship returns to Knockhill over the weekend of August 4/ 5.
