Barking mad wedding for two loved- up pups
Pooches exchange love at picnic in park
Two pups declared their paw- fect love at a barking mad wedding reception.
Furry friends Chewie and Brownie tied the knot last weekend in an open wedding ceremony in their favourite Glencairn Park in Ayr’s Forehill.
The four- legged pups were dressed to impress as Shih Tzu Brownie walked down the isle in a white wedding gown, meeting groom Chewie, Shih Tzu Lhasa Apso cross, in a mini tuxedo.
And the pups held paws as they exchanged their love in front of invited guests and fellow canine friends.
Mother of the bride, Pooja Bhardwaj told the Post it was her 12- year- old daughter Shradha’s idea.
Pooja said: “Every evening we’d go to the park and we’d see this little dog and they play so well together.
“They protect each other and are very loving. If Brownie is approaching someone, Chewie comes in- between them.
“I try to explain to people it’s a different kind of play, that’s why we decided to do it.
“My daughter said ‘ mummy, they are so in love, they should get married’.
“It was Shradha’s idea so she wanted to be a minister of course. It was so popular because of her and it was a day for everyone.
The wedding of the year welcomed over 80 people to see the dogs put a collar on it of matching diamond embellished hubby and wife collar charms.
The pooches were even thrown a stag and hen do ahead of the big day.
Pooja added: “We had family members there and we all wore fascinators and fancy dresses. They are such a cute pair.”
Congratulations to the puppy- loved up couple.
