Come along and see if you’ve got what it takes to be in pantomime

-

Do you have what it takes to light up the Palace Theatre stage this festive season?

Then why not go along to the Kilmarnock venue on Saturday, August 25 and take part in open auditions for Junior Chorus parts in this year’s magical pantomime Sleeping Beauty.

Auditions are open to girls aged nine to 16 in school years P5

S5 at the time of the production, and those successful in obtaining a part in the show will be starring along River City star Leah MacRae, as well as the hilarious Fraser Boyle and Gary Morrison who return after the smash hit Dick Whittington last year.

Steve Boden, managing director of producers Image Theatre, said: “We are delighted to be holding open auditions in Kilmarnock again this year as it is a great opportunity to get members of the local community involved in the show.

“We know from previous years how talented the local children are, so I am sure it is going to be quite hard to choose the three teams of eight that we need for the production.

“Performing in a professional production is a fabulous and rewarding opportunity for the children and is always a lot of fun, but it is also a big commitment and a lot of hard work.”

Further information, as well as links to the application forms, can be found at www. imaginetheatre. co. uk. Application forms do not need to be submitted in advance, although where possible please complete them beforehand and bring them along on the day.
