- Lochlin Highet

After the five- star success of last year’s ‘ Cinderella’, M. A. Productions Ayr return in association with Ayr Gaiety Partnership.

The theatre are delighted to introduce the cast of this year’s magical family pantomime, ‘ Aladdin’.

Let this year’s vibrant pantomime inject flare, action and romance into your Christmas season.

The flamboyant Dame, Widow Twankey, played by the talented Michael Courtney, has tread the Gaiety’s boards since 2012 and has written and directed over 30 pantomimes.

So will he let Widow Twankey finally finish her washing? Not without Wishee Washee!

The loveable Dan Whitley returns due to high demand after performing in 2016’ s ‘ Snow White’ as Muddles.

Dan has worked on performances with Disneyland Resort Paris and the London Olympic Park, but Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without performing in a pantomime!

Princess Jasmine, the beautiful Lorna Amy Sullivan, captivated last year’s audience as Cinderella.

Will she fall in love with the handsome Aladdin?

Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduate Kieran Begley is excited to be playing the witty hero. But first he will have to try and defeat the evil and wicked sorcerer Abanazer.

Gaiety favorite Liam Webster is looking forward to be returning to his home away from home this Christmas to play evil Abanazer after appearing as our very handsome Prince Charming in ‘ Cinderella’ last year. Robert Aitken masters his strengths as the mystical and magical Genie of the Lamp and PC Ping, granting wishes whilst trying to keep all of Peking in order.

And Courtney Dignan’s performance as magical Slave of the Ring, helping Aladdin out of sticky situations.

Not to be missed, Aladdin is a magical family pantomime full of dazzling costumes, mesmerizing dancing, top class comedy, mischief and mayhem for all to enjoy.

The panto season at the Gaiety kicks off on November 27, running most nights through to January 3.
