Tribute acts set for autumn sessions

Blondie and Little Mix music on the menu

- Ian McCaig

Following a summer of sold out Tribute Nights, South Beach Sessions in the Walker Halls in Troon have unveiled their autumn programme with gigs from tributes to Blondie, Little Mix and Duran Duran on their way to the seaside town.

The venue which overlooks the beach in Troon, holds 160 and has this year seen sold out signs up for Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and Simple Minds tributes and is providing to be a great place for live gigs.

Blondie tribute, Dirty Harry, are first up on Saturday, October 13 and there are already a very limited number of tickets left for this one.

They are quite often to be found headlining much larger venues than South Beach Sessions and not only capture the sound of Blondie but also the look and presence of Debbie Harry.

If you grew up in the punk and post punk days of the seventies this one will take you right the way back.

The following weekend, on Saturday, October 20, sees something for the younger audience with the girls from Little Mix Magic who will be wowing the audience with a run through of the hits of Little Mix and a photo opportunity afterwards.

Over 12s must be accompanied by an adult for this one and you’d better be quick as there were less than a dozen tickets available at the time of print.

Closing off the season is the wonderful Duran an Duran on Saturday, December 1 with the voice of Simon Le Bon and band playing the classics such as Hungry Like The Wolf, Rio and Girls of Film.

An opportunity to look out those outrageous eighties outfits and spray that hair up!

Tickets for all the gigs are available from The Harbour Bar Troon and The Gaiety Theatre or online at South Beach Sessions. co.uk,S kid d le and TicketScotland.

The capacity for the venue is only 160 so these gigs may sell out quickly and there is no guarantee of a ticket on the door – and please note that these are standing gigs with limited seating available.
