Ghost Rider’s spooky visit Biker revs up for Hallowe’en fun

- Abi Smillie

All was eerily quiet down Nile Court last Thursday.

That was until a keen biker on his pimped- up ride thundered down for a ghoulish visit.

Ghost rider Andrew Russell and his spooktacularly decorated Harley Davidson popped along for a trick- or- treat.

The chrome V- Twin softtail is equipped with a life- size skeleton, skull lights and a light- up pumpkin.

Intricate skeleton hands clutch the motorcycle’s wing mirrors.

And a dimante- covered skull sits front and centre in between two smaller golden ones.

The 1800cc- powered bike has already made a journey up to Glasgow and back with adoring fans eyeing up the spooked- out ride.

Andrew, 65, is a member of biking group Clyde Valley Hog and has been jazzing up his bike for four years to entertain youngsters and adults alike.

He collects his Hallowe’en goods and gimmicks from various stores across town.

Andrew, of Alloway, said: “I do it for the kids.

“It takes a lot of time as everything has to be zippedtied on.

“But it’s good fun and everyone loves it.

“And I love the looks when people notice the skeleton is holding onto me.”

The biker is known to do up his wheels for Christmas and Easter too.

In fact, he made the Post’s front page in December last year with his fesitive bike – equipped with a reindeer, fake snow and a giant teddy bear – for unknowingly parking on zigzag lines.
