The Gents will be holding their annual dinner and presentati­on of prizes on Saturday in the Clubhouse and a menu is on the Club’s noticeboar­d for those intending to attend to make their choice. It is hoped for a good attendance. In the Girvan gents October Medal Richard McDowall ( 13) 40 Stableford points came in to win followed by John Madden ( 10) 38 points. David Mair ( 18) and James Baillie ( 9) both on 37 points. Meanwhile over at Turnberry in the Saturday medal played on October 27, I. Ivory ( 99) 72 came in with the winning score followed by C. McVicar ( 8) 75, P. Ferguson ( 10 ) 77 ( all on the King Robert The Bruce Course) and Alan Forbes ( 15) 77 on the Ailsa Course.

Auchinleck Indoor Senior team beat Dumbarton 85- 44 on Saturday. The gents were victorious against Glasgow by a score of 109- 63. And the ladies beat Lanarkshir­e 75- 44. Callum Hunter represente­d Club in playdowns of Under 25 Gents singles at Cumbernaul­d. Callum lost his match against Dumbarton 21- 13.

Indoor Baird Bowl: Auchinleck Indoor lost to Cumnock 6- 0 and the match between Glaisnock Valley and Mauchline finished in a 3- 3 draw. Auchinleck won the Ayrshire Indoor Bowling Associatio­n fours competitio­n, beating Ardrossan into second place.
