Jim hopes to return when feeling fit enough to make a positive contribution to the community.

In reply Mr Evans has written expressing his sadness.

He appreciated the significant increase in communications between both community councils and Jim’s role in fostering this.

Police Report: The October school holidays resulted in an increase in bad behaviour by a large group of youths, male and female, in the town.

It is believed the trouble is limited to around four individuals who are responsible and the police have a good idea who they are.

The most serious incident involved an assault on a girl in Boydfield Gardens.

Great Britain High Street Awards: South Ayrshore Councillor, Hugh Hunter, reported that, having been nominated by the Prestwick Business Association, Prestwick has reached the final stage of the Award which will take place in London.

X77 Bus Problem: It was noted that the introduction of single deck coaches on the Ayr to Glasgow route had reduced the number of available seats.

As a result passengers boarding at Prestwick have, at times, been unable to board.

It was agreed that this issue be raised with Stagecoach.

The next meeting will be held in Kingcase Church Hall at 7pm on Thursday, November 29.

As always members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
