Thousands more residents are about to start using the new recycling service as part of the second stage of a Council campaign.
Households in Mossblown and parts of Ayr and Prestwick are the latest to be encouraged to help increase the quality of the recycling collected while also increasing the amount of materials recycled.

The third stage of the programme will see the system introduced to 9,500 properties in Dundonald, Maidens, rural areas, as well as parts of Ayr and Troon in December 2018.

The carriageways between Monktonhead and Dutch House on the A78 will be e closed overnight on No November 17, 18 and 19 for re resurfacing.
Gordon Coppard, Scotland Tr TranServ’s Network Area En Engineer said: “The safety of ou our workers is of paramount im importance, and that is why it is necessary to implement a closure of the trunk road. W Working overnight will al allow us to minimise the im impact on commuters and lo local businesses, while m maximising the efficiency of the programme of works.”
Overnight closure times are: 8pm Saturday 17 to 6am Sunday 18 November, 8pm Sunday 18 to 6am Monday 19 November and 8pm Monday 19 to 6am Tuesday 20 November
Local diversion routes will be implemented throughout the programme of overnight works.
