Pictured left to right is Lucy Merrilees, who will compete at Junior Level, Cordelle Haslam, skating at Intermediate Novice level, Lucy Murray, ( again skating at Intermediate Novice level), Daniella McCormick representing the club at Basic Novice level and Ele Silvester again competing at Junior Level.

Club Secretary, Rosemary Otterson, said: “The girls are definitely ‘ The cream of the crop’, with fewer than 80 ladies qualifying for the entire event this year.

“The skaters have all come from grassroots level within the club, having been members of our junior development classes and Skate UK classes which take place in Ayr Ice Rink every Saturday morning from 11.15am.

“Our junior development classes include an under five years Snowtot class, an over five years Skate UK class, a First Skate beginners class and finally for skaters who have progressed through the eight tier grade system, a Star Class.

“So please come along and give our fun sport of figure skating a try.”
