South Ayrshire Life in Newmarket offers a whole range of help and advice sessions throughout the week. This week’s drop- ins are:

Thursday, December 13

Hearing aid help

Drop in to the South Ayrshire Life shop at 57 Newmarket Street, Ayr on Thursday, December 13 from 2pm to 3pm for free hearing aid batteries and servicing. SISG, the Sensory Impaired Support Group, are also there to offer help and informatio­n to any older people with hearing or sight loss. Friday, December 14

Housing support

A weekly drop- in session in Ayr town centre aims to help anyone in housing need. A support worker from SeAscape is available every Friday morning from 9.30am to 1pm at South Ayrshire Life, 57 Newmarket Street. The next drop- in is Friday, December 14.

Stop Smoking

Trying to stop smoking? Get help and support from a Quit Your Way advisor every two weeks at South Ayrshire Life, 57 Newmarket Street from 2pm to 4.15pm. The next drop- in is on Monday, December 17. Just call in. No appointmen­t needed.

Wednesday, December 19

See a social worker

The South Ayrshire Life shop at 57 Newmarket Street, Ayr holds a weekly social work drop- in. A social worker is on hand every Wednesday afternoon from 12noon to 4pm to offer advice on a wide range of welfare and care issues. The next drop- in date is Wednesday, December 19.

Wednesday, December 19 Energy advice

Home Energy Scotland will be offering free, impartial advice on energy saving and much more at a fortnightl­y drop- in at South Ayrshire Life, 57 Newmarket Street, Ayr on Wednesday, December 19 from 1pm to 4pm. No appointmen­t needed, just pop in.
