One of the biggest DJs around right now is coming to town.

Super club deck- spinner Marco Loco, who has bagged Ibiza Resident DJ of the Year, will be at Vinyl in Ayr on Boxing Day as part of a special new event.

The team behind the RERUB event consists of Brian Jardine, Ewan Whiteford, Steven Green. The lads said: “The idea behind RERUB has been a long time coming.

“The guys in our team have been DJing and promoting local venues and events for about 15 years, starting when Ayr was still the go- to destination for house music and club nights which people now have to travel out of Ayr to find.

“The opening of Vinyl nightclub created an opportunity for the launch of a new night to complement the Vinyl brand, bringing the classic sounds of old back into the town with a fresh feel – hence the name RERUB.

“The early response has been strong for our Boxing Day Ball which will be held across two rooms, with Ibiza Legend Marco Loco in the main room and local soul master Bob Jefferies playing in room two – supported by a hand- picked selection of local DJs completing the line up on each room.

“We’re glad to welcome Bob to our event, bringing the all the flavour of the famous Southport Weekenders.

“All in all we can say this is the RERUB the town has been waiting for.”
