Rita celebrated her big day in the South Lodge Nursing Home in

Ayr, receiving a telegram from the Queen from Depute Lord Lieutenant Fiona Walker.

It was in the rural hamlet of Dalleagles that Rita was raised, attending the then Dalleagles Primary.

She moved to nearby New Cumnock with her husband Peter, a master slater and plasterer.

Rita was widowed young when Peter music, good company and love to dance, why not head along? The event is in Cumnock Town Hall on Friday, February 22, fro m 1 to 3.30pm.
